Hong Kong Phooey to the rescue! Just who is “America’s secret weapon against crime?”

As his catchy theme song sets out, he’s a “number one super guy, quicker than the

human eye!” Disguised as a mild-mannered police station janitor, Penrod transforms

himself into the powerful pooch that the girls love to smooch by leaping into his

filing cabinet and emerging as Hong Kong Phooey. Collecting most of his criminal

tips from Rosemary, the miniskirted New York dispatcher, he leaps into danger –

with his Phooeymobile and Kung Phoo dumb luck – to dog, collar and let loose his

famous Hong Kong Phooey karate chops on unsuspecting crooks everywhere.
