Quote:
Mudhoney is an American alternative rock band. Formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1988 following the demise of Green River, Mudhoney's members are vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mark Arm, lead guitarist Steve Turner, bassist Guy Maddison, and drummer Dan Peters. Original bassist Matt Lukin left the band in 1999 but briefly returned in December 2000 to complete touring obligations. Mudhoney's early releases on Sub Pop, particularly debut single "Touch Me I'm Sick" and the Superfuzz Bigmuff EP, were massively influential on the Seattle music scene, helping more than almost any other releases of the era to inspire the dirty, high-distortion sound that would become grunge. Mudhoney was also notable for its mixing of heavy blues rock and punk rock. Although the band has found little commercial success during its long career, which has yielded 10 studio albums, it nonetheless inspired many grunge and alternative rock musicians.
Superfuzz Bigmuff 1988 (Deluxe Edition)
Superfuzz Bigmuff is the debut EP by the Seattle grunge band Mudhoney. It was released in October 1988 through record label Sub Pop. The album was later re-released in 1990 in the form of Superfuzz Bigmuff Plus Early Singles. Along with their sophomore album Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge, it was included in 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. In its review, Jamie Gonzalo called it "sexy, smart, humorous and hard", as well as writing "[Mudhoney] emerged from the underground with this mischievous workout, achieving tense and dramatic musical structures with Turner's scalping guitars, Mark Arm's angry vocals, Matt Lukin's mighty bass and Dan Peters' propulsive drums."
The album was named after two of the band's favorite guitar effects pedals: the Univox Super-Fuzz and the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff, which helped to provide the band's signature "dirty" sound. The cover artwork is a photograph of frontman Mark Arm (left) and guitarist Steve Turner (right) performing live by photographer Charles Peterson. Other artwork on the album includes more photos of the band performing and them posing topless.[6]
During initial release, the EP sold incredibly poorly (even by Sub Pop standards), however it has since been acknowledged as one of the seminal records of the Seattle scene. In mid 2008 the EP charted at #25 on the UK Indie Album Chart, a peak for the EP, twenty years after its release.
"In 'N' Out of Grace" opens with a sample of the eulogy from Peter Fonda's character in the 1966 movie The Wild Angels, saying "We wanna be free to do what we wanna do...". The same sample was later used on Primal Scream's's song "Loaded".

Mudhoney 1989
Mudhoney is the debut studio album by American grunge band Mudhoney, released in 1989. It was their first LP after several singles and an EP (Superfuzz Bigmuff).
The instrumental song "Magnolia Caboose Babyshit" is a cover of "Magnolia Caboose Babyfinger" by Blue Cheer, but the song is still credited to Mudhoney. The album, when bought as a new vinyl record, is also packaged with a poster of the band (Photo by Michael Lavine). The poster features the band in a blue filter and says "Mudhoney. The album is out." as well as the SubPop and Au Go Go logos.

Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge 1991
Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge is the second studio album by the grunge band Mudhoney. It was recorded in 1991, at a time when the band was thinking of signing to a major record label, but decided to release the album on Sub Pop. Guitarist Steve Turner has said that the album is his "favorite Mudhoney album as a whole" and many critics agree that the band reached a peak on Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. The album is named after a mnemonic used by music students to recall the notes (EGBDF) on the lines of the treble clef. Along with their debut EP Superfuzz Bigmuff, the album was included in 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, with reviewer Jason Chow calling it "a classic album, one of the best of the genre."

Piece Of Cake 1992
Piece of Cake is the third studio album by the grunge band Mudhoney. Recorded and released in 1992, it was their first album released through Reprise Records. It features several songs, such as "Suck You Dry," "Blinding Sun," and "Acetone," that are consistently featured in Mudhoney's live setlist. Although released at the peak of grunge, a genre Mudhoney had helped create, the band and Piece of Cake did not get any special treatment commercial or critical wise. Reprise reissued this album bundled with the E.P. "Five Dollar Bob's Mock Cooter Stew" and the B-Sides from the album singles in 2003 (a similar effort like Sub Pop's "Superfuzz Bigmuff Deluxe" re-issue in 2008 and Reprise's reissue of My Brother the Cow in 2003).

The Lucky Ones 2008
The Lucky Ones is the eighth studio album released by American Alternative Rock band Mudhoney. It was released by Sub Pop Records on May 20, 2008.
As the band has said the album was written “from the rhythm up” instead of from the riff and the lyrics down and has also stated that it's the fastest album they made.[5] As Mark said the effect is to thrust out the bottom-end rumble of drummer Dan Peters and bassist Guy Maddison, and to bring about a cohesive whole not entirely ruled by the almighty riff—although you certainly don’t have to look hard to find ‘em.[6] Rather spontaneously, the veterans recorded the eleven songs found on the record in only 3.5 days, including overdubs.[7] The ninth track on the album is titled "Tales of Terror"[8] in honour of the Sacramento hardcore punk band Tales of Terror that influenced and inspired grunge movement.
Tracks:
1. "I'm Now" - 2:40
2. "Inside Out Over You" - 3:25
3. "The Lucky Ones" - 4:52
4. "Next Time" - 3:01
5. "And the Shimmering Light" - 3:05

8. "Running Out" - 3:28
9. "Tales of Terror" - 3:17
