Finding this classic pop/rock album from 1967 was like finding an old friend. I wore out my vinyl copy back in the late 1960s. Of course this album contains the hits "Happy Together" (#1) and "She'd Rather Be With Me" (#3) but those tunes can be found many other places. It also contains the original movie theme "Guide for the Married Man." This album's strength lies in its lesser-known tracks. "Makin' My Mind Up," "Think I'll Run Away," "The Walking Song," "Too Young To Be One," "Person Without A Care," and "Like the Seasons" are all great songs with superb production with more strings & horns backing the Turtles than the hits. The label Sundazed made this an even better collection by adding hits "You Know What I Mean" (#12) and "She's My Girl" (#14) and another great non-hit Turtles' song "Is it Any Wonder." Bottom line - if you like the hits, you also like the other understand-all-the-words, good-time, pop/rock songs in this album. This is one of my favorite non-greatest-hits pop albums of the 1960s. Give it a listen and you'll soon be singing along with all of the songs.
